PIECES ARE SCALES IN DISGUISE Books I-IV

Section 3 consists of 4 books of pieces known as "PIECES ARE SCALES IN DISGUISE".

Book I Beginners' pieces: A major.
Book II Slightly more advanced pieces: Contrasts "A" major with "A" minor.
Introduces pedal.
Book III Intermediate pieces: Comparing "A flat" major with "G sharp" minor;
Modes.
Book IV Intermediate pieces: Comparing various keys.

Books I and II are for beginners and restarters particularly useful for adults who gave up as children.

Books III and IV are for pianists with an intermediate standard who may nevertheless have difficulties with pieces which are based on the more advanced scales.

The problem of co-ordination is also dealt with sympathetically.
